DAILY WHAT?

This week, I was a guest on IG Live with The Well Center to talk about plants, including cannabis and CBD, for stress management.
Here's a cool clip and if you'd like to see the whole thing you can find it on @thewellcenterny 's IG page.

Also, two weeks from yesterday, on February 10, "The Science of Self Love" will have its live premiere on Khora.
I hope you'll be there!

Here's what I have for you this week:
I rarely use points to promote products or services.. so I'm due!
This is not a paid promotion, just a super happy, healthy client who wants to spread the love to you.
Also, I get a lot of questions around how to eat plant based, easily..
There are definitely different versions of easy, so I'm just going to give you one of my recent favorites: Daily Harvest

I'll explain everything below, but before I forget, here's your code to get $25 off your first box: RE-ARB6Y4M
Oh so I guess YOU might be the one that gets paid for this : )

  • What is Daily Harvest?

Daily Harvest is a food delivery service that only serves whole, organic, plant foods obtained from farmers they work with.
The food comes to you having been frozen at its peak of freshness in the form of bowls, smoothies, soups, lattes and some other treats.

  • What makes them appealing and easy?

They use interesting and highly nourishing ingredients that require very little preparation.

The bowls require putting a pot on the stove, pouring in the contents of the (paper, biodegradable) bowl and stirring around until it's all hot. They even freeze the sauce into the mix.

The soups also require a pot and some water or veggie broth and same deal as bowls.

(You can use a microwave to make these but not something I advocate doing on the reg.)

I like to add veggies to the soups and bowls.
I almost always add a fat handful of greens when the frozen part is like 2 minutes from being ready to rock.
And sometimes other chopped veggies if I have them around.

The smoothies require a blender and some water or mylk of choice.
I also add greens to these as well as superfood powders like maca root, cacao, hemp protein, mushroom powders, etc.

I definitely don't have to go to the grocery store as often with a Daily Harvest box coming to me each week, but I usually do : )

  • Other deets

It's super easy to cancel or modify your box for the week ahead.
I get deliveries on Thursdays (big day for me :) and I can cancel or modify until Sunday at 6:00 pm.

Check out pricing for these.
I think this service is perfect for singles or couples that perhaps aren't always home for dinner, like to travel or to eat out and don't want to think about having to go to the grocery store or food going bad in the fridge (the frozen part is a great feature in this way) - or, just don't feel like really cooking but want to eat super healthily.
Maybe not so much for bigger fams, but maybe!

The serving sizes are bigger than I usually want in one sitting but on average I'd say it's good to think about ordering one of each item for each person who will be eating and then you might have leftovers for lunch the next day : )

There are a lot of great features of DH, but the winner winner plant based dinner is the TASTE.
I'm legit never NOT like "Omg YUM!"
Interesting ingredients creating delicious flavors and excellent execution.

There's actually only been one problem.
They have delicious plant based desserts... and they've snuck in little personal size "samples" of them in my boxes! Trouble : )

Here's a little reminder from "The Science of Stress" about sugar for those who need it.
Remember: fruit is the only sugar you can trust!
